The children’s room has board games, an art cart full of supplies, Legos, and wooden trains to encourage creativity and playing. Just please put supplies back when you are done!
Maker Club (Craft Time)
This craft program is designed for elementary students K-8th. No registration is necessary. Kids and families can visit between 3:00-4:00 most Thursdays to make a project at the library. Projects vary every week, and are available while supplies last. See our Events calendar for exact dates and projects.
Lego Club
Children 5-12 are invited to build Lego challenges together. No registration required. Dates subject to change. The most recent changes will be updated at the Events calendar.
Read-to-a-Dog
Children in K-4th grades are invited to practice their reading skills by reading a dog. No registration is necessary, but registrants will be emailed if there is a cancellation or a date is moved. Usually the second Thursday of the month. See Events Calendar for dates and times.
Music Class for Babies, Toddlers and PreK
Music Classes especially for Babies, Toddlers & PreK with Carol Lester of ABC Sing With Me & Bubble Queen Music. There will be clean instruments to share and songs in English and Spanish. Dates subject to change. No registration is required, but please register at the Events page.
Parents register their child at Readsquared. Then whenever anyone reads any book to your child, you record it. For every 100 books, your child will earn a prize, plus all of the benefits of reading!
If you have a child from 0-5 years old, register them today for free monthly books. Children who live in ZIP code 07720 are eligible. Books arrive in the mail monthly until your child’s 5th birthday.

Transparent Language’s KidSpeak has courses especially designed for children. Featuring self-paced lessons to help you learn over 100 languages. It’s great for building vocabulary, practicing pronunciation, and improving language skills with real-world context.
The Bradley Beach Library loans some educational kits that families can borrow to practice different skills, such as math and reading. These are free to borrow to any cardholder 18 and older with an active card in good standing.
